Anavitor 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 Release Notes!

Important - New Archicad Add-On

ℹ️  A new version of the Anavitor LCA add-on for Archicad is released, with updates to support the Archicad object type updates and more news presented below.

⚡️ The Archicad add-on is an installation file that you can run on your mac OS or Windows computer.

Streamlined LCA data back to Archicad

ℹ️  The 'Archicad Property & Override Pack' is updated with the Archicad properties 'GWP A1-A5' and 'GWP B2, B4'. These properties work for all supported object types. Thus we no longer need one GWP property per object type. See image below.

ℹ️  The Archicad property 'LCA Recipe Name' is added, populating the BIM model with information about the mapped Recipe Name. This brings value of the BIM model delivery and presentations, e.g. Schedules, IFC or BIMx.

💡 It is important to keep the population of LCA data in the BIM model streamlined to what generates value, avoiding unnecessary data to be populated. It is also important to see GWP impact per stage. Own expression properties or Interactive Schedules can be used for sum of GWP.

📚 To use the new properties, please download the latest Archicad Property Pack and follow the included instructions to import the pack to your Archicad project or Archicad Template.

Important Fix - Calculation of the full Subproject

ℹ️  When you press 'Calculate', the complete subproject will be calculated. However, a caching issue in the previous version, only made this visible to the user after a page refresh in the browser. Without refresh, it looked like only the active object type tab was being calculated.

This caching issue is solved, and the users get instant feedback for the whole Subproject after calculation.

New feature - Remove Recipe

ℹ️  You can now remove recipes through the LCA Finder!

💡 This has been a user request for the value of being able to free building parts from earlier chosen recipes.

📚 After a recipe is added, click the 'Remove' icon in the LCA Finder in order to unmap it, see image.

Add Recipes without Grouping

ℹ️  You can now add recipes without the process of first grouping the LCA Tree with a property in Attribute Group Composer. There is a default property, "Object Type" doing this for you.

💡 This improvement enables a faster user workflow adding recipes at the start of a new Subproject.

Support of LCA Calculation of Interiors

ℹ️  Anavitor LCA now supports calculations with pieces, not only volume. This enables calculation with interiors and other pieces from Archicad, e.g. concrete stairs.

💡 The BIM & LCA workflow is improved with this update. The LCA Data offer is the same as earlier.

Expansion of Object Types

ℹ️  The following additional Object Types are supported in Anavitor LCA:

Covering, Ramp, Pile, Footing, Curtain Wall Panel, Curtain Wall Frame, Ceiling  Flooring, Furnishing and Flow Terminal.

💡 The user may classify the building parts by the above Object Types, populating the correct tabs in the LCA Tree.

Bug Fixes

ℹ️  The Archicad properties in the Attribute Group Composer will be able to see regardless of screen size. You can tab through them with arrows in the UI.

ℹ️  Paging in the EPD Finder now works as expected: Instead of jumping one EPD at a time when clicking on next page, it will jump to the next page list of EPDs.

ℹ️  Cut of panel images in the generic PDF reports is fixed, thus the complete panel information will be seen in the exported PDF report.

ℹ️  Improved handling of how quantities are used when selecting recipe and calculating the project.

ℹ️  Other minor bug fixes.

More Updates

ℹ️  Expanded search scope in the Admin pages. This enhances the search experience by being able to search with incomplete search information in e.g. the Recipe and Components pages.

ℹ️  Error management with more feedback to users upon errors.

ℹ️  Added translations to English, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish for new features.
